LORRY MOUNTED CRANE

WHAT QUALIFICATION PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?:

  • On successful completion, candidates will be awarded a RTITB Certificate/Power Safety Training Certificate & Card in Mounted Hydraulic Operated Crane – Lorry Loader

COURSE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

  • Instructors will complete training on-site.

  • Course duration 3 days for Novice 

  • 1/2 Day for Experienced/Refresher/Conversion

  • Course may vary and can be discussed at the time of booking.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE:

  • Staff who will be operating Lorry mounted crane as part of their job.

WHY SHOULD STAFF TAKE THIS COURSE:

  • To comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 chapter 4 Part 2

COURSE AIMS:

  • To provide Lorry Mounted Cranes Training (HIAB) participants with the knowledge, skills and attitude to enable them to load, unload and move materials safely.

LORRY MOUNTED CRANE TRUCK COURSE CONTENT:

  • Health and Safety

  • PUWER and LOLER

  • Components used in lifting operations

  • Attachments and accessories

  • Safe working load

  • Risk management

  • The landing area

  • The lifting plan

  • Signalling

  • Loading a vehicle

  • MHOC use with tipping body vehicles and trailers

  • Electricity

  • Permit to work

  • Lifting accessories

  • Pre-use checks.

COURSE OUTCOME:

 

  • On successful completion, candidates will be awarded a RTITB/Power Safety Training Certificate & Card in Mounted Hydraulic Operated Crane – Lorry Loader

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • All of our courses are delivered using the English language so delegates must also have a good command of English both written and spoken so the course can be fully understood.

  • At least 16 years of age

  • Medically fit to operate machinery

  • PPE Gear, i.e., Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest

  • One Passport Photograph

  • Safe pass course completed

  • PPS Number
