WHAT QUALIFICATION PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?:

• Successful Course participant will receive an RTITB certificate. It is valid at any workplace in Ireland for 3 years from issue date.

• Instructors will complete training on-site. Course duration 1/2 day and may vary and can be discussed at the time of booking.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE:

• Staff who will be operating pallet trucks as part of their job.

WHY SHOULD STAFF TAKE THIS COURSE:

• To comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 chapter 4 Part 2

COURSE AIMS:

​

• Know the legislation and guidance applicable to the use of pallet trucks.

• Be aware of safe movement principles.

• Know how to correctly load the truck.

• Be aware of the hazards associated with pallet truck operations.

• Use the pallet truck without endangering themselves and others.

• List the steps to take effective maintenance.

POWER PALLET TRUCK COURSE CONTENT:

​

• Brief summary of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act.

• Explanations of the principle behind Pallet Truck.

• How to deal with pallet loads.

• Overloading.

• Battery care and general maintenance.

• Practical exercise and assessment of skills.

COURSE OUTCOME:

​

•    Successful delegates will receive an RTITB certificate. This certificate is valid for 3 years.

​

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

​

• All of our courses are delivered using the English language so delegates must also have a good command of English both written and spoken so the course can be fully understood.

• At least 16 years of age

• Medically fit to operate machinery

• PPE Gear, i.e., Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest
