TELEPORTER - TELESCOPIC HANDLING

WHAT QUALIFICATION PARTICIPANTS RECEIVE?:

  • Successful delegates will receive a Power Safety Training certificate & Card. This certificate is valid for 3 years.

COURSE TIMES & LOCATIONS:

  • Instructors will complete training on-site. Course duration 1 day and may vary and can be discussed at the time of booking.

WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS COURSE:

  • Staff who will be operating a teleporter as part of their job.

WHY SHOULD STAFF TAKE THIS COURSE:

  • To comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 chapter 4 Part 2

COURSE AIMS:

​This course will enable the trainees to operate a telescopic handler in a safe manner in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and statutory requirements.

TELESCOPIC HANDLING COURSE CONTENT:

  • Legislation & Regulations

  • Employer and employee responsibilities

  • Safe Working Practices

  • Machine components and functions

  • Correct operating techniques

  • Pre-use checks and basic maintenance

  • Road Travel (where relevant)

  • Types and characteristics of materials and load

  • Site Safety

  • Shut down & securing procedures

  • Theory Examination & Practical Assessment

COURSE OUTCOME:

•    Successful delegates will receive a Power Safety Training certificate & Card. This certificate is valid for 3 years.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:

  • All of our courses are delivered using the English language so delegates must also have a good command of English both written and spoken so the course can be fully understood.

  • At least 16 years of age

  • Medically fit to operate machinery

  • PPE Gear, i.e., Helmet, Safety Boots, Hi-Visibility Vest

  • Must be experienced users (at least 6 months in the last two years)

  • PPE Gear

  • Valid Safe Pass Card
